The Kumano Hongu Aiki Juku kids class was written up in the local newspaper for their fishing event in the Kumano River. They even made their own fishing poles and collected their own earthworms. In this article, they say that they got the idea for this fishing event from their sister dojo in Los Angeles – Musubi Dojo. They had received a lot of snaks from Musubi Dojo and they wanted to give something back and to show how Aikido kids in Kumano, Japan enjoy nature.
